Observations on the Efficacy of Wheat-grain-sized Moxa Cone Moxibustion in Treating Rheumatoid Arthritis

Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of wheat-grain-sized moxa cone moxibustion in treating rheumatoid arthritis.Methods Sixty patients meeting the diagnostic criteria of rheumatoid arthritis were enrolled and treated by wheat-grain-sized moxa cone moxibustion.Results The total efficacy rate was 96.6% in the 60 patients after treatment.There were statistically significant pre-/post-treatment differences in morning stiffness time,the number of swollen joints,the number of painful joints and hand grip strength in the patients(P0.01,P0.05).Conclusion Wheat-grain-sized moxa cone moxibustion is an effective way to treat rheumatoid arthritis.
