Abstract
A simple, novel technique for the repair of perforated duodenal ulcers through the laparoscope has been used successfully in four patients. Following laparoscopy a patch of collagen fleece coated with fibrin glue was stuck over the perforation and peritoneal lavage then performed. The post-operative recovery was uneventful and the patients were ready for discharge from hospital within 3 to 4 days. This method of laparoscopic repair of perforated duodenal ulcer is effective and appears simpler than other laparoscopic techniques described.
