Drug Resistance Analysis of Gram-negative Bacteria in 6 Teaching Hospitals in Guizhou Province in 2009

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the drug resistance of G-negative bacteria isolated from clinical specimen so as to provide the useful information for the clinical treatment.METHODS:By disc diffusion method (Kirby-Bauer method),the results of drug sensitive test were analyzed statistically using WHONET5.4 software according to American clinical laboratory standards committee (CLSI) 2009 edition.RESULTS:1 620 gram-negative bacteria were isolated from 6 teaching hospitals in Guizhou province in 2009.Among them 1 087 strains were enterbacteriaceae cocci (67.1%),and 533 strains were the fermentation bacteria (32.9%).Super broad-spectrum beta-lactamase-producing enzyme (ESBLs) was found in 64.4% of Escherichia coli and 34.5% of Klebsiella pneumonia.Enterbacteriaceae bacteria are highly sensitive to carbapenems,and their drug resistance was less than 5%;drug resistance to cefoperazone/sulbactam,piperacillin/tazobactam and amikacin were less than 30%.Drug resistant rates of P.aeruginosa and Acinetobacter against meropenem and imipenem were 17.6%,34.5% and 15.2%,18.0%,respectively.CONCLUSION:Carbapenems for enterbacteriaceae bacteria remain highly active,however,for P.asruginosa and Acinetobacter is more highly resistant.
