Uso do GPR no estudo da estruturação interna de depósitos de eolianitos na região costeira de Uruoca - CE

A geophysical survey had been carried in the coastal region of Uruoca, NW Ceará State, to improve outline the mechanism of aeolian morphogenesis through the analysis of the internal architecture of aeolianites deposits. This study is based on seismostratigraphic interpretation of sections GPR, as well as geologic mapping and remote sensing data. As preliminary results, it is evidenced excellent electromagnetic signature of fine stratifications of the aeolianites in the form of stratigraphic sets, mainly in the subsuperficial saturated zone. Such data supply important subsidies to the reconstitution of the recent aeolian dynamics, preserved within this rare lithotype of the Brazilian coast and important marker of the paleoclimatic and environmental conditions.
