Abstract
The formation of 1:1 hydrogen-bonded complexes of 2,2,2,-trichloroethanol and 2,2,2-tribomoethanol with sulfoxides, sulfinamides, sulfones and sulfonamides has been studied by i.r. spectroscopy in carbon tetrachloride solution at 288.15, 298.15, 308.15 and 318.15 K. The equilibrium constants have been measured from the change in intensity of the free OH-stretching band of alcohols.
