Search for the low-lying (π1g92)4 62+ state in Ru94

Excitations in Ru-94 were populated through the beta(+) / is an element of decay of Rh-94 following the fusion evaporation reaction Ni-58(Ca-40,3pn)Rh-94. Recoiling nuclei were implanted on the Yale moving tape collector at the Wright Nuclear Structure Laboratory, and delayed gamma-rays were observed via an array of four Compton suppressed HPGe clover detectors. Nine new gamma-transitions and five new levels were added to the level scheme of (pi 1 g (9/2))(J)(4)(pi =6+) level, in close agreement with prediction.
