Abstract
The computer simulation of quench evolution in the coil of SIS300 superconducting dipole with magnetic field of 6 T in 100-mm aperture was made. The most es- sential variants of quench conditions, which correspond to different basic protection schemes of string of magnets, are considered. The results of calculations are presented. On this base the aptitudes and limitations of possible quench protection schemes are considered.
