Trapa Extract Induced Apoptosis in Liver Cancer Cell Line SMMC-7721

[Purpose] To investigate the anti-cell proliferation effect with Trapa extract in liver cancer cell line SMMC-7721.[Methods] The inhibition effect was detected by MTT method.Apoptosis was detected by AO staining,DNA agarose gel electrophoresis and FCM.[Results] The growth of SMMC-7721 cells was inhibited and cell apoptosis was induced by Trapa extract in a dose-dependent manner.Typical morphological changes of apoptosis were observed by fluorescence microscopy.[Conclusion] Trapa extract can inhibit proliferation and induce apoptosis in liver cancer cell line SMMC-7721.
