Single Nucleon-Transfer Reactions In A Core Excitation Model For Ti-48 Incident On Ca-42 At 8 Mev Amu

Single neutron and proton quasi-elastic transfer in both directions have been studied in collisions of 48 Ti onto 42 Ca at E Lab = 385 MeV. The main strength in the particle energy spectra lies below 12 MeV excitation energy and displays features specific to the reaction channel. A one-step direct transfer mechanism which includes core excitation describes the main features of the spectra.
