AS-22: Evaluation of Sirolimus-Eluting Stents and Titan2® Bioactive Stent Performance by Optical Coherence Tomography

Lack of stents strut coverage has emerged as a main factor affecting stent performance in terms of restenosis and thrombosis propensity. Several studies have shown a lack of stent coverage in drug-eluting stents by optical coherence tomography (OCT), but no data exist on the performance of the new bioactive Titan2® stents. The Titan2® stent is a balloon-expandable stent made of stainless steel and coated with TiNOX (titanium nitride oxide).
