Insulated Battery Charger With Sinusoidal Line Current

After a brief recall of converters conventionally used for battery chargers, this work stressed about a new structure with sinusoidal line current and galvanic insulation by a high frequency transformer working at 1 kW. The theoretical presentation is followed by the design problems, particularly over voltage on switches and transformations ratio choice. We describe next a power part converter model, and at last the experimental results.
