摘要
We have detected with a time-of-flight spectrometer the evaporation residues and fission fragments produced in 12C-induced reactions on 181Ta and 182, 186W targets. Backward-emitted α-particles were also detected in a three-member particle telescope. The 12C bombarding energies range from 77 to 105 MeV. As we measure energy and mass spectra of the fission fragments, we were able to verify the equilibrated nature of fission. Probably due to an undetected portion of evaporation residues, fusion cross sections are smaller than expected from systematics. Nevertheless, by means of realistic statistical-model calculations; including an improved state-density formulation, we have deduced complete fusion cross sections.
