Abstract
The effect of carbon black amount and partly blended silica on the processability and properties of neodymium catalyst based domestic cis-1,4-polybutadiene rubber(NdBR) which was made in Dushanzi Petrochemical Company was studied.The results showed that in the process of mill mixing,the carbon black and other ingredients were easier to homodisperse in NdBR matrix,the rubber compound was better in mill banding,and the appearance of compound sheet was bright and smooth.Owing to the higher structure regularity and better linearity in molecular chain,the carbon black filled NdBR has better tensile property,abrasion resistance and resilience,and with increasing amount of carbon black,the Mooney viscosity increased,the optimum cure time and scorch time of NdBR compound got shortened,while the wet skid resistance got better,resilience and flex resistance deteriorated for NdBR vulcanizates.The silica could shorten the cure time and enhanced the mechanical properties of NdBR,but raise Shore A hardness and reduce the resilience and abrasion resistance of NdBR vulcanizates.
