Treatment of 40 Cases of Cerebral Infarction by Acupuncture Combined Chinese Medicine

Objective To observe clinical therapeutic effects of combined acupuncture and Chinese medicine in treating cerebral infarction. Methods 120 cases were randomly divided into three groups:combination of acupuncture and Chinese medicine group (n=40),Chinese medicine group (n=40) and acupuncture group (n=40) . Their therapeutic effects were compared by evaluating the recovery degree of consciousness, speech and motor function. Blood lipids,hemorheology and blood ET were observed before and after treatment. Results The total effective rate was 95.0% in the combination of acupuncture and Chinese medicine group,77.5% in the Chinese medicine group and 82.5% in the acupuncture group,P 0.05. Changes of these targets in the combination of acupuncture and Chinese medicine group have more significant difference than that in the acupuncture group and the Chinese medicine group (P 0.01). Conclusion Acupuncture combined with Chinese medicine for the treatment of cerebral infarction is more beneficial than that of acupuncture and Chinese medicine.
