Efficacy Observation of Seretide Accuhaler Combined with BiPAP on the Severe Stable COPD Patients

Objective To investigate the treatment effect of seretide accuhaler(mixture preparation of long-acting β2-agonist and inhaled corticosteroid)combined with BiPAP on severe COPD patients at stable stage.Methods Forty COPD patients at stable stage were randomly divided into two groups,group A was treated with seretide accuhaler 50/500ug by accuhaler/diskus,2 times per day,and BiPAP(IPAP 10～20cm H20,EPAP 3～5cm H20,Fi02 3L/min)6～8h every night.Grpup B was treated only by seretide.After 12 weeks,clinical symptoms,quality of life and lung functions were evaluated before and after treatment.Results After 12-weeks treatment,the observed indexes were significant improved(P0.05).Conclusion Using BiPAP ventilation with seretide in treatment of severe and very severe COPD patients has better effect than the single use of seretide therapy,it improves lung function and quality of life.
