การประเมินความหนาแน่นของเสือโคร่ง ในเขตรักษาพันธุ์สัตว์ป่าห้วยขาแข้ง โดยใช้กล้องดักถ่ายภาพ Estimation of Tiger Density in Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary Using Photographic Capture and Recapture Sampling

We estimated the density of a tiger (Panthera tigris) population in Huai Kha Khaeng wildlife sanctuary, western Thailand during February 2004 and February 2005, using photographic capture-recapture sampling. Total sampling effort of 1,509 trap-days obtained 124 tiger photographs of 17 tigers (5 males, 9 females, 1 unknown sex and 2 cubs). The Program CAPTURE indicated that this was the characteristic of closed population (P ˆ = 0.65). Population was estimated at 19 tigers with density of 3.98 tigers/100 km2.
