Abstract
A continuous flow method for determining the phosphate content in tobacco was developed. The tobacco samples were extracted with deionized water, using ammonium molybdate and ascorbic acid solution as a colorific agent and potassium antimony tartrate as a catalyst. The results indicated that the average recoveries of phosphate ranged from 98.3% to 101.2% with the RSD of 1.9% to 2.1% and the reproducibility of below 0.02%.
