On vibrational relaxation in liquid and solid AsD3

We have studied some vibrational-relaxation effects in liquid and solid AsD 3 . Experimentally, we measured the Raman ν 1 (symmetry species A 1 ) band at 160 K and 54 K. Our theoretical approach in analyzing the data makes use of the memory-functions technique to result in a clear physical description of the behaviour in the system. We regard the agreement between experiment and theory as more than satisfactory.
