Background: Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) moves currently towards a standard procedure for patients with very high operative risk. Close cooperation between cardiac surgeon, cardiologist, anesthesiologist, and radiologist is of crucial importance for the diagnostic and periprocedural success (team approach).
