Abstract
Objective:To explore the role of serum soluble CD86(sCD86),total immunoglobulin E(tIgE) and specific immunoglobulin E(sIgE) in immune pathogenesis of wheezy diseases in children. Methods: Serum sCD86 and tIgE of 54 children with wheezy diseased(group D1) and 20 healthy children(group C1) were tested with ELISA method, and sIgE of 45 wheezy disease cases(group D2) and 17 healthy children(group C2) were determined with EUROLINE method. Results: Serum sCD86 and tIgE levels of group D1 were higher than those of group C1 significantly(P﹤0.001),but there was no significant difference among three types of wheezy diseases(P0.05).The increase rate of tIgE of group D1 was much higher than that of group C1(P﹤0.01).The positive rate of sIgE in group D2 was much higher than that of group C2(P0.05).The inhalant allergen serum sIgE of wheezy disease patients was mainly house dust and dust mite mix;Food allergen was usually fresh water fish. There was a positive correlation between tIgE and sIgE levels(P0.05),while no correlation was found between the concentrations of serum sCD86 and tIgE in wheezy disease patients(P0.05).There was no difference of sCD86 between sIgE-positive and sIgE-negative cases of wheezy disease(P0.05).Conclusions: sCD86 plays an important role in development of wheezy diseases in children. There is a close relationship of wheezy diseases of children to type I allergy.
