Analysis on Phenotypic Trait of Drought Resistance of Potato under Moisture Starvation

The phenotypic trait of drought resistance of potato was evaluated under moisture starvation. The results showed that the yield of plant had a dominant positive linear correlation with the dry and fresh weight of root,dry weight of stem,tuber number of plant,weight of tuber and total yield. Root pulling resistance had a dominant positive linear correlation with plant height,the dry and fresh weight of root,dry and fresh weight of stem,dry and fresh weight of leaf,tuber number of plant,weight of tuber and total yield. The varieties Yongdezipi and Merke with the highest root pulling resistance were also higher than other varieties in terms of yield,dry and fresh weight of root,dry and fresh weight of stem,dry and fresh weight of leaf,as well as the dry matter of plant. The result of the study shows that the synthetical phenotypic trait including root pulling resistance and root weight,stem weight,leaf weight of plant could calculate the drought resistance of potato accurately. When plant blossomed fully,the test of root pulling resistance was more important to evaluate the drought resistance ability of potato.
