Clinical Study of High Frequency Jet Ventilation for Treating Children's Acute Respiratory Failure

【Objective】To investigate the value of HFJV for treating children's acute respiratory failure.【Methods】One hundred ninety-two cases of children's acute respiratory failure were treated for primary disease plus high frequency jet ventilation.The therapeutic effect before and after treatment was compared.【Results】Cyanosis disappeared half hour to one hour after therapy.Respiration recovered progressively.The arterial blood and vigour were improved significantly after treatment(P0.01).One hundred and eighty-two cases were recovered.【Conclusion】HFJV can cure children's acute respiratory failare effectively.
