BACKGROUND CONTEXT: Vertebral column resection (either posterior only or combined anterior + posterior routes) is the only procedure that will provide translation of vertebral column. Neurosurgical treatment of intraspinal abnormalities can be done either in simultaneous or in sequential sessions.
