Die tertiaren Thioamid-S-oxide 1 werden aus tertiaren Thioamiden durch Wasserstoffperoxid-Oxidation in Eisessig mit so gutem Erfolg gebildet, das eine Isolierung kristalliner Produkte moglich wird. Ausbeutevermindernde Reaktionen, in denen sich die Reaktivitat dieser Heterokumulene zeigt, werden beschrieben. Der Zerfall nach elektronenstoffinduzierter Ionisierung steht in Analogie zur thermischen Zersetzung.
