摘要
Objective and Background: Morton's neuroma is essentially a benign tumor in the foot, which may cause extreme pain and disability. Both conservative and surgical modalities have been used, but as yet, neither has been successful in resolving the condition. This report introduces Functional Fascial Taping (FFT) developed by Alexander, as a new treatment regime and examines its effectiveness in the management of Morton's neuroma. Discussion: Functional Foot Index (FFI) was used to assess the effectiveness of this taping modality demonstrating both amelioration of pain and improvement in functionality. Although there is anecdotal evidence to support the benefits of Functional Facial Taping (FFT) in the treatment of Morton's Neuroma, a more detailed study is warranted using larger numbers of participants to examine its long and short-term benefits.
