Abstract
Taking cotyledons and hypocotyls of pepper as explants, the effect of Kanamycin(Kana) and Carbenicilin(Carb) on pepper callus induction were studied. The results showed that Kana and Carb had inhibition effect on the callus induction of pepper explants. With the increase of antibiotics concentration, the callus induction rate decreased while the browning rate increased.Compared to Kana, the effect of Carb was weaker. When Carb concentration was 500 mg / L,the callus induction rate of explants was still quite high.In addition, compared to hypocotyl, the induction rate of adventitious bud from cotyledon was higher.
