Precursor development, characterisation and evaluation of sublimation enthalpies of novel volatile complexes of nickel

Coordination complexes of nickel namely Ni(ohap)2 (1), Ni(ohapim)2 (2) and Ni(ohppim)2 (3) were prepared in a systematic approach and screened for their volatility using TG/DTA. Complexes 2 and 3 were found to be completely volatile giving nil residue; thereby qualifying themselves as potential precursors for MOCVD of Ni based thin films. From the TG-based transpiration technique, 2 and 3 were found to possess appreciable vapour pressures.
