Abstract
We report here on our finding of an alpha-delta sleep in a 40-year-old-female patient suffering from panic attacks, including nocturnal panic attacks, who complained of non-restorative sleep. This finding suggests that sleep disturbance in a subgroup of patients suffering from panic disorder might be assessed by testing for a sleep electroencephalogram anomaly, as well as by assessing sleep structure according to the Rechtshaffen and Kales sleep stages.
