Impact of sex and age on adherence to guidelines in non-small cell lung cancer management

•Guideline adherence in non-small cell lung cancer decreases with increasing age, but the impact of sex is less studied.•Age ≥75 years increased the odds for non-adherence. The study also indicated that sex-related disparities existed in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer.•Strategies are needed to diminish sex- and age-related disparities.
