ENVIRONMENTAL DIAGNOSIS OF TEIXEIRAíS STREETS AND NEIGHBORHOOD

ñ The objective of this study was to characterize the environmental impacts observed in Teixeira, PB. All urban streets, paths and alleys of this small town in MidSouth ParaÌba were visited and the environmental problems were recorded. The percentage of each parameter studied was estimated by the Paretoís methodology. Data analyses revealed, in decreasing order of incidence, the following environmental problems: waste grounds, open air sewers, construction waste, domestic and other discarded materials thrown away in waste grounds, domestic waste on the street, construction waste left on streets and sidewalks, and deteriorated buildings.
