Research on SNR Estimation Algorithm for Tropospheric Communication

With the rapid development of tropospheric communication technologies,the adaptive data-rate communications becomes the development direction of troposphere communications,so the accurate estimation of signal-to-noise-ratio is urgently needed.Firstly,we analyze the characteristics of the scattering channel and propose an approximate model of the channel's short-term characteristics.Then we describe three SNR estimation algorithms and derive their algorithms formula in complex channel.Finally,the simulation analyses show that the M2M4 algorithm has the advantages of high accuracy and low complexity.It is better suited to be used in the tropospheric communications.
