摘要
In this paper, a realistic and flexible modeling of precipitating systems for the purpose of simulated radar observations is presented. As an example, a convective cell of 15 km of thickness constitued of droplets, raindrops, ice crystals, snowflakes, and graupel-hail particles, is modeled. Such a cell is typical of a thunderstorm. Any convective system can be built: Individual thunderstorm or mesoscale convective system (MCS) and stratiform structures. This topic is important for comparative studies of radar observations conducted at different wavelengths, and, more generally, for theoretical studies of precipitating systems in radar meteorology.
