Study on the short-term wind speed prediction of the wind based on residual correction grey BP neural network

To solve short-term wind speed prediction,a kind of combined algorithm is propose based on grey theory and BP neural network model.First previous wind speed information was used to predict the wind speed of next time with the grey GM(1,1)model,then the residual which generated by grey theory was corrected with BP neural network model,to improve the wind speed prediction accuracy.The proposed algorithm is used in wind farm short-term wind speed prediction,the simulation results show that the accuracy of the proposed combined prediction model is higher than the single grey prediction model.
