MP-01.08: Does the effect of alpha-blockers in a patient with a small prostate differ urodynamically from one with a large prostate?

BPH is complex disease that is progressive in many aging men. Alpha(A)-blockers and 5A-reductase inhibitors are frequently-used treatments for BPH. A-blockers achieve rapid symptom relief but do not reduce the overall risk of AUR or BPH-related surgery, presumably because they have no effect on prostate volume (PV). To investigate the effect of A-blockers on PV, BPH patients were divided into two groups. PV of patients in small group was smaller than 30ml and that in large group were over 30ml. They yunderwwent urodynamic study.
