Multidose studies in the human metabolism of two allyl barbiturates

Summary  The metabolism of nealbaxbitone (I) and allylisobutylbarbituric acid (III) has been studied in normal human volunteers. The urinary excretion of parent drugs, and derived diols, was studied following multi-dose administration at normal therapeutic dose levels, and the kinetics of excretion discussed in terms of the various ring opening routes available to the epoxide intermediates.
