Experimental Study on Whole Stress-Strain Characteristic of Marble under the Action of High Temperature

The stress-strain behaviors have been investigated by hydraulic pressure servo rigidity rock mechanics testing system under the action of high temperature from normal temperature to 800degreesC in the paper. Influence of the high temperature on peak strength, post-peak characteristic, residual strength of marble have been systematically studied by comparing experimental results. It is shown that the total rigidity and uni-axis strength obviously decline as temperature becomes higher, and post-peak behaviors and residual strength present characteristic transforming from brittleness to plasticity. The results reflect the fundamental regulation of marble's interior structure changing under action of different temperature, which benefit to high temperature rock project in practice here after.
