摘要
The influence of polyvinyl alcohol on the kinetics of cadmium ion reduction in 1M aqueous KCl solution at the dropping mercury electrode was investigated using the impedance method. It was found that small additions of PVA did not change the diffusion coefficient much, but affected only the rate of charge transfer process. The electroreduction of cadmium in the presence of PVA became less reversible. The standard rate constant dependence on coverage degree is described by the following equation: ks=ks0(1−ν)n, where n=2.
