Study on the Prognostics and Health Management Architecture of Unmanned Air Vehicle

Autonomic Logistic(AL) is a new concept of logistic support,it was put forward by American in the 90th years,and apply AL to the high technology weapon equipments,such as the fourth generation aero plane and Unmanned Air Vehicle(UAV).Prognostics and Health Management(PHM) is the core technology of AL.Basing on the traditional health monitoring and fault diagnostic capability,PHM emphasizes incipient fault prognostics,intelligent reasoning technique beyond subsystem boundaries and the ability for health assessment and management in real-time,PHM provides decision for the activities of maintenance and support.This paper makes study of the PHM's architecture for U A V and the related key technologies,and lays out a scheme of PHM's architecture for UAV.With the application in the UAV,PHM could significantly reduce the maintenance and support cost,enhance aircraft readiness and mission success and make the air system work safely,reliably and efficiently.
