KM and (e)-learning: towards an integral approach?

This paper takes a closer look on the relationships between (e)-learning and knowledge management initiatives in corporate settings. Based on an input from literature and interviews with companies, we found out that although conceptually KM and (e)-learning are perceived to be closely related, the responsibilities for these initiatives still "belong" to different organisational units and supportive technologies are hardly related. This brings us to the discussion of different opportunities of integrating two fields and feasibility of such an integration.
