Abstract
POSTERSsource of KCTD9 was mainly from NK cells with an 143.9 increase folds upon virus infection. An shRNA specifically targeting KCTD9 significantly inhibited KCTD9 expression in vitro and in vivo, and ameliorates MHV-3 induced fulminant hepatitis in Balb/cJ mice with an increased survival rate from 0.0% to 22.2%, improvement of liver function and histopathologic situation.Among lymphocytes subpopulations, significant decrease of KCTD9 expression was observed in intrahepatic NK cells accompanied by decreased CD69 molecules expression and weakened cytotoxicity, which strongly suggested the involvement of KCTD9 with the activation of NK cells. In conclusion, our study firstly described the novel KCTD9 gene contributes to immunologically mediated liver injury through NK cell activation in virus induced liver failure.
