Health disparities exist between Latino teens and the majority population of adolescents in the U.S. as evidenced by rates of physical and mental health problems including asthma and depression. Existing physical environmental influences are recognized by health care providers; how these are perceived by Mexican-origin immigrant Latino adolescents has not been documented previously.
