Nina - 4 Gev Electron Synchrotron Of Science Research Council

Summary In December of last year the 4000 Mev electron accelerator of the Science Research Council's Daresbury Laboratory was brought into operation. This article is an account of the physics underlying the design of such an accelerator and briefly describes the physical problem which will be studied with it.
