Investigation and analysis on the current status of clinical teaching in health assessment for baccalaureate nursing students

Objective To investigate the current status of clinical teaching in health assessment for baccalaureate nursing students in clin- ical practice,and propose the countermeasures aimed at the problems.Method Ninety-nine baccalaureate nursing students who finished clinical practice were investigated with a questionnaire regarding the clinical teaching in health assessment,and then collected and ana- lysed the result.Result There were many problems in the clinica] teaching of health assessment,insufficiency of the function in basic medical practice,and the outcomes of clinical teaching were not satisfied.Conclusion The deficiency of teaching consciousness and abil- ity of clinical teachers and inactivity of nursing students are the main reasons of the unsatisfying teaching outcomes.It is suggested to take corresponding measures to improve nursing students'ability of health assessment.
