Clinical Analysis of 7 Cases Porencephaly

Objective:To study the pathogenesis、clinical situation and prognosis factor of porencephaly.Method:Retrospectively follow-up and analyze 7 cases porencephaly of department of neurology and pediatrics in 5 years,which were confirmed by CT or MRI,investgate the perinatal state and labor history,summarize age of onset of illness、clinical situation、neuropsychology estimation、pathology situation.Results:Five cases were infected or injured at perinatal or infant period,2 cases couldn't be proved because of their parents death.Their age of onset of illness are 8～78 years old;Most symptoms are intellect developmental lag、epileptic attack and dazed;These focuses(cavities) are alone,6 cases lie in cerebral hemisphere,only 1 case at cerebellum hemisphere;There are 6 normal cases in language function and 4 normal cases in opto interspace,IQ of super 80 scores are 6 cases,78 score is one case;1case was operated in order to drain,cavity wall is made of connective tissue.Conclusion:Porencephaly maybe occur any locus of brain,it is relate to infect or injur at perinatal or infant period,cerebral hemorrhage and a large area cerebral infarction are main reasons at adult.Nerves clinical situation is appeared early or late,prognosis and symptom are connect with locus and dimension.
