The impact of comprehensive intervention on shape index,serum leptin and lipid levels in obese children

Objective To investigate comprehensive intervention for the shape index,serum leptin and lipid levels in obese children.Methods All 62 cases in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups,31 cases of each group.The children in group A were given health education,family care,proper diet,adequate exercise and other comprehensive interventions while group B was received freedom of movement and non-intervention.All of the children were followed up for 1 year,and the changes of indicators were recorded and analyzed.Results After 1 year of comprehensive intervention,the shape index(body weight,body mass index,waist circumference,hip circumference) were significantly lower than the pre-intervention,and significantly lower than post-intervention of group B(P 0.05);leptin levels were significantly lower than pre-intervention,and significantly lower than post-intervention of group B(P 0.05);lipid levels(TC,TG,HDL-C,LDL-C) were significantly better than pre-intervention,and significantly lower than post-intervention of group B(P 0.05).Conclusion The comprehensive intervention can improve the shape index in obese children and adjust the abnormal endocrine and metabolic,and it is worth to be applied in clinical.
