摘要
Titanium-based Dimensionally Stable Anodes (DSAs) are commonly used in industrial cells, even in corrosive solutions. It is necessary to control the corrosion of their titanium substrates. In this paper, the behaviour of titanium electrodes in sulphuric acid solutions is studied by means of potential decay curves at open circuit potential and impedance spectroscopy measurements. In addition, an electroanalytical determination of soluble Ti(IV) species in the acid electrolytic solutions is proposed, giving a convenient tool for detecting in situ the dissolution of TiO2 and the corrosion of Ti, which can lead to the deactivation of DSAs.
