Study on the characteristic of single phase grounding fault for 10kV distribution network with low resistance neutral groundings

Along with the continuous expansion of city distribution network,the increasing use of cable led to the rapid growth of capacitance current.In recent years,the low resistance neutral groundings in the distribution network has been used in Hunan power grid.The principle of neutral grounding system of low resistance is introduced in this paper.The key problems of the low resistance neutral groundings system such as step voltage in single phase ground fault and instantaneous overvoltage of the system are discussed through field simulation test.
