Abstract
Objective To investigate the relation between children chronic cough and mycoplasma pneumoniae,chlamydia pneumoniae infection,in order to provide a basis for treatment.Methods 98 cases diagnosed as children with chronic cough and 60 cases in control group were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay of plasma MP,CP-specific IgM antibodies,and group comparison was made.Results MP infection in study group were 45 cases(45.9%),CP infection were 12 cases(12.2%);MP infection in control group were four cases(6.7%),CP infection 2 cases(3.3%),the mixed infection in study group were 5 cases(5.1%),and none in control group,there is statistically significant difference between the two groups.Conclusion The relation between chronic cough in children and mycoplasma pneumoniae,chlamydia pneumoniae infection is close.MP-IgM,CP-IgM should be routinely detected in looking for causes of chronic cough in children,to provide a basis for clinical treatment.
