摘要
K- and L-shell line intensities have been determined for 2.0 MeV proton bombardment of thin targets from palladium ( Z = 46) to tellurium ( Z = 52). The intensities of the L α and L β X-rays, as produced during these collisions, are dependent upon the energetic permissibility of the L 1 -L 3 M 4,5 Coster- Kronig transition. The discontinuous behaviour of the L β1 L α intensity ratios as a function of atomic number is confirmed as predicted by ECPSSR theory which incorporates the plane-wave Born approximation (PWBA) with corrections for energy loss ( E ), Coulomb deflection ( C ), perturbed-stationary-state (PSS), and relativistic ( R ) effects. The K β K α intensity ratios, however, compare favourably with the Scofield calculations and exhibit a rather smooth dependence with Z .
