ETUDE DE LA SEROCONVERSION ANTI VIH CHEZ LES LEPREUX LEPROMATEUX AU MALI (Enquête préliminaire)

A pre l i m i n a ry investigation of human immunode- ficiency virus (HIV) sero p revalence has been led in three populations of Mali from October 1988 to April 1989. The three populations concerned were : 105 per- sons bearing a tuberculoïd lepro s y, 105 persons bea- ring a lepromatous lepro s y, and 160 persons blood donors in apparent good health. A sample of blood has been taken from every person and examinated by ELISA and WESTERN BLOT together. The re s u l t s did not show a significant difference in the HIV sero- prevalence among these three populations.
